Welcome to Graber Designs International Art Gallery
Graber Designs, founded in the fall of 2000 by Ann and Keith Graber
Miller, is a small business that provides aesthetic consulting services
and markets Graber family art (paintings, limited edition prints,
books) and art by international craftspeople. In November 2008 we opened Graber Designs Gallery in a small storefront in downtown Goshen, Indiana (208 S. Main Street), though a good portion of our business is still done online.
Featured among our art and antiques are hand-woven Bulgarian kilim
rugs; Orthodox icons painted using the techniques of the ancient
masters; kilim pillow shams and pads made from antique kilims; Chinese
peasant paintings; Asian art and antiques; Russian lacquered boxes;
Chinese teapots; Haitian paintings; Panamanian molas; and other exotic
artifacts from around the world. Watercolors by Ann Graber Miller, who
holds an M.A. in art from Western Michigan University, and children’s
books illustrated by her sisters, also are featured in our shop.
Some of our works are chosen by Ann’s sister Susan Graber Hunsberger,
who lives in Sofia, Bulgaria, and works directly with artists and
weavers and their intermediaries, providing income for these
extraordinary craftspeople. We also hand-select all of our other art
and antiques, traveling to various locations in Asia, the Caribbean,
and Eastern Europe. Whenever possible, we purchase directly from
artisans because of our commitment to fair trade. In Summer 2008 we traveled to Greece and Bulgaria, bringing home about 20 antique kilims, some of museum quality, and the same number of Eastern Orthodox icons.
Graber Designs is open noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Local artist Karen Jacob, whose work also is exhibited at the store, has her studio in the Graber Designs space and is available during most open store hours. We're also happy to arrange for showings at the business before and after hours. Please feel free to contact us by emailing
